Porcupine

The word "porcupine" comes from Latin porcus pig + spina spine/quill, so its name quite literally translates to “spiked pig”. While it’s a myth that porcupines shoot their quills in defense, their rattling can often sound like that of a rattlesnake, scaring away many predators.
